Songwriting with Nashville Millennials

I met Jeff Power at a songwriters’ event in Denver.   He was accompanied by 3 other songwriters who were performing their music together – they were good, and watching Jeff, by far the oldest of the bunch, was inspiring!  You know from past episodes of Stubbornly Young that I’m contemplating what my life will be like when I step aside from a full-time career.  I want to do something creative and fun, and earn some money doing it to keep the financial wheels greased.  Jeff Power is a minister turned philanthropy leader, who in retirement has become a passionately active country music songwriter.  You’ll love Jeff’s upbeat energy, and if you are curious about the songwriter’s role in the music scene, you’ll appreciate hearing what Jeff has learned, and more about his journey pursuing a new passion in retirement.  Has he written a hit yet?  Listen to find out.
