I’m so excited about this episode with Gwendolyn Bounds, author of a book that caught my attention called NOT TOO LATE – THE POWER OF PUSHING LIMITS AT ANY AGE. Wendy had a life changing transformation when she became passionately involved in obstacle course racing starting in her late 40s. Like many of US, Wendy had a successful career before she started this new chapter… as an award-winning journalist, an on-air host, and author of many books. Listening to Wendy’s book (which she reads tremendously), it feels like Wendy was REBORN with a passion that changed her life, and inspired this book. Wendy and I talked about a couple of tough questions that I’d been really considering, including:
- What if my “not too late” passion isn’t of interest to my wife?
- How should I think about “mastering” something new later in life? What if I don’t ever get good at it? What should I choose?
Not Too Late has been a catalyst for personal introspection, added workouts, and meaningful conversations with my wife and friends. The Stubbornly Young will love this episode – and Wendy’s book!
